Start to Live in Korea

Hi,,,, This is a blog and story I made for me and anyone who comes over to my pages.

I am an International Student in Kwangwoon University for the Computer Engineering Department. Yeaah,, I am an Engineer but I do love in writing and filling any info about me and my life in this blog. For now on, I've decided to work on one of my categories in this blog, "Live in Korea". Im going to inform you about Korea and how to live here. 

First of all, let yourself to think why you want to live in Korera. Sure, Korea is definitely a very nice country for living, but not for working. That's my opinion though. Korea is a very beautiful country for living, travelling, or doing something like to learn or to experience how your life would be. But again, for me, Korea is not really good for working. Well, I have reasons for what I am talking about. Even though so, I have been in Korea for over two years for studying. And I could say that as a student, I'd love to stay here.

Hence, I would like to kick of several beautiful points why we should visit Korea. No matter whether you are a Korea Lover or yah just like me before that "I don't know anything about Korea".

1. A Historical Country. You know what, Korea has tons of places and statues telling us about what country the foregone like is. Come and see this country, you will find amazing spots labelling with UNESCO name. The great thing is that all the historical objects are well-cared. Oh,, sure you will not find those are as an object put to see, but they are also provided with the information about what they are and when they are made or found, and sooo on! You must want to know that in Korea there are some amazing palaces including all the antique trinkets to visit. You can also experience to wear the king, the queen, and even the guardian of palace clothes. If you are lucky, there are such festival in Korea allowing foreigners to have experience in guardian palaces convoying. Interesting? 
   
   
   
2. A Modern Country. Guess what? Although Korea is very well known with the historical stories of it, Korea is also popular as one of developed country in Asia. You definitely already knew that both Samsung and LG are the huge companies from Korea. And you must know that Hyundai is also one of the best company in producing cars in the world. This country has been concerned in developing and improving many good environments to be one of developed country with a short time. If you come to Korea, you will experience the health environments, the modern technologies, the very comfortable transportation, and everything are tried to be improved in modern way. The life style and also the way how people to live in Korea are significantly changed for several years very shortly. Everything is prepared very amazing.
   
   
3. A High Tech Country. This thing is in line with the second point mentioned earlier. Oh goodness, I was surprised when I came and arrived in Korea for the first time. Landed at Incheon Airport as the biggest airport in Korea then saw that everything is perfectly amazed me. And then I ran into the city by car and experienced the modesty of the Korea's transportation, no traffic, it seemed no air pollution, and also very cheap. The water is very fresh and clean. Oh what I would like to say here is that everything is settled very nice with the technology environments. But come to then, I surprised that all of them are mostly created by the Korean. Amazing!
   
   
   
4. The Safest Country. I don't believe either by the way about this, but it is true! Google it with this keyword, the answer is KOREA. So if you are a girl working in over midnight you don't need to worry with your safety, just walk on straightly. Because Korean people usually stay up very late. The cities are also still lighted up. That's what I did. This country specially for the Seoul city, you would be easy to walk alone and feel safe as always. In fact, if you are feeling somewhat unsafe, Taxies are very easy to stop by after you waving your hands. But you should aware to only the taxi with the red sign or red word in korean letter right on the wind-shield of the driver. Anyway, the taxi fare here is cheap also, I think so. Whenever I get lost, I use this taxi service. 
   
   
5. Providing The Best Internet Environment Country. Do you know that Korea is the best country for Internet? I am not kidding anyway. You could google for it, otherwise you could come here, yeah in Korea and feel your web surfing or download Gigs size files to proof my word here. If you decide to come and live here for some months for studying probably, you could find this effortless network. And the awesome part is that you could get free wify with super high speed in everywhere. 
   
   
6. Everything is about the Politeness here. If you decide to live in Korea, so the 'Age' is really really a big thing that you have to deal with. Don't ever try to mess it up. Trust me, you could face a big trouble for your politeness. #Grin. yeap... that's Korea! It's seriously like an age hierarchy. The older should be treated very very polite, so you'd better to learn how to use your languages with anyone you'd know to them. Person with the same age with you usually could be really nice somehow to talk. But if you are the younger, you should prepare yourself to learn how to respect and give your great honour to your older friends. heheh.. even when you are seating in front a table, you should really realize how to bring yourself in treating or servicing, or it could be more difficult sometime. Once you learn about the politeness of Korea, you would understand that it could be somewhat awful. Well, I mean, it is good for being polite to anyone, but the awful stuffs are that everything is like ruled here even for a word. SO, Don't try to mess it up, I really mean it. 
   
   
7. One of Countries Providing The Best Educational Environment. For the educational things, I would say that Korea could be one of the best country for this. Because mostly universities in Korea would give us about 50% or more tuition fee waved for the international students. No matter you get the government or private universities. This is good, right? So, it's time for us to use this occasion to feed our brain. But probably you also should know that the language is the problem for some departments here. But don't worry, there are plenty places to study Korean language free. One of them is Seoul Global Centre or Puren. You could be easy to find them by using your keyboard to google it. hehe... Regarding the researching, Oh Korea is really serious in researching and education. The government allocates huge funding into these. One example is what I have now. I am a Master candidate student with computer engineering background. It's true that I have been a recipient of 50% tuition fee waved from my university. The rest 50% is supported by my current lab where I am studying. How about the living expenses? Owh, my lab is the main sponsor for my funding here. Hence, I practically don't think about how to feed myself or get monthly money. So if you know any information about opportunity to study in Korea, I suggest you to go for it. It's really worthy. If you need more for your living, you could find plenty part time jobs, but with some regulations absolutely. 
   
   
   
8. Four Seasons? Ah~you can find them here. For several countries or regions of Asia, having experiences with winter and autumn are really dreamy. But, you could find it in Korea. It could be cheaper option to find these weathers than go to Europe countries. Interesting. 
   
   
9. Culinary Tour must be one of these lists. Exactly, culinary tour! It is pretty nice to taste any kind of Korean foods. For me, the worst food is called Kimchi but if you could find the fresh kimchi, it could be different. I could really like to eat the fresh Kimchi. Another thing is if you are a "spicy food eater". Aaahh~~ Korea is somewhat bad for this. I dont say that there is no spicy food here. It does have. But what we think it's not spicy enough, for korean it could be super spicy though. hehe.. If you turn trying to cook, the spicy chilly could be one of those problems too.. Anyway, Korea has many things to eat. The tastes are amazing for me. I mean mostly they are really nice. So I recommend you to have experience in any kind of Korean foods. Highly recommend it.

What about are the things that I told you before? The negative things ones. But those are minor things that would not change a lot to the good things providing by this country. Believe me, these negative issues are very subjective opinion coming from me. I know there are thousand people out there that probably they don't even find anything bad from Korea. So, I would like to talk about it with another page.
