What Should We Do in the Very First Minute of the Day Activities?

I am actually now trying to be more productive in my studies. So, these days I am still looking for to find a best formula into it. Then I found an article called ‘How the Most Productive People Start Their Work Day’ from greatist.com. It is true that what we do when we are starting our day to get to the office sets the tone for the rest of our day. I usually get bored with works that I even don’t know which, what, and how to start first with. Learning how to make priority on what I will do first might help me to run away from non-concentrate condition.

The article tells me that a to-do list activity can improve our productivity in a day. In this state, a to-do list is a map for one full-day that we’ve drawn it every night before bedding. And mostly people will do an email checking for the very beginning activities. And that’s a huge mistake, says Julie Morgenstern in her books called Never Check Email in the Morning. But the same with me, I am doing it every day before I know that what I have done is wrong. The only reason is due to checking email is a reaction needed activity. That means that once we open an email, we will need extra time to read, or even to write text in order to reply it. So the real question is: What exactly should we be doing? To get answers, greatist.com asked super successful people killing it in business, fitness, and life in general what they do to be productive (and resist the siren call of their inbox) the second they step foot into work. The following information is the answers from those successful people quoted from greatist.com:
1. Trap your anxieties on paper.
“The first thing I do when arriving at 'work' (which is usually my wooden table next to a living wall in my house) is journal. I use a notebook like The 5-Minute Journal to clarify my goals and priorities for the day, as well as perform a basic gratitude exercise. If I'm feeling ambitious, I'll drink pu-erh tea [a type of fermented dark Chinese tea] and free-associate for another two or three pages in a separate notebook. This often allows me to trap my anxieties on paper so I can be more productive with less stress throughout the day.” — Tim Ferriss, author of The 4-Hour Workweek and host of the podcast The Tim Ferriss Show

2. Get your energy up with some movement.

5. Complete the task that requires the most mental focus.

6. Make (and use!) a really effective calendar.

7. Hydrate... with a kick.
